Snake T-shirt design printed as part of an Everpress campaign.
There were 3 colour variations & it used an updated version of a design that was originally conceived around 2008.
You can see some of the prior versions in the background of this photo & there are close up photos further down this page.
My original snake drawing from around 2008. Hand drawn with Rotring
Updated snake, used as part of a poster I designed to promote an exhibition I curated at The City Arts & Music Project in 2008.
Venue listings featuring my snake & exhibition details.
An updated version of my snake design, so I could create a slightly more refined print for the exhibition.
Screen printed version for the exhibition, there were 4 or so variations of this print. The deadline was very short & I didn't have time to add belly scales.
The snake print was used as a cascading, revolving wallpaper pattern.
I peeled away the paper in places to reveal black & white variations. Unfortunately I don't have any good photos.
I started working on a further update of the snake design in around 2011. It was the 1st image I ever created in Adobe Illustrator & I was keen to take advantage of the extra precision I could achieve with the program.
The 2012 version of the snake was printed using a Riso Print Gocco which is sort a portable version of Japanese home screen printing.
